Austin 10 engine still in the chassis at this point. Engine with the manifold and timing chest cover off. Austin 10 head and block starting to separate from each other. Engine with head gasket showing damage caused by separating the block and head. The head as it came off the engine. Clutch on display after removal of the gearbox. Austin 10 engine on bench before sump removed. With baffle plate removed, copper oil feed pipes for main bearings are seen clearly. Oil feed pipes and pistons removed. Austin 10 engine with freshly cleaned face on display. Valve seats now in good order following long lapping in exercise. Honing the last bore with a Draper tool fitted to a drill. Hands in to the engine to compress the piston rings during re-fit of pistons. Engine with sump pan and timing chain cover removed. Replacement timing case now fitted. Painted pulley wheel and sump covers fitted to the Austin 10 engine. Petrol pump and dynamo bracket fitted. Crank case freshly painted. Nearside of the engine and gearbox. Offside of the engine and gearbox.Manifold and dynamo both back in place. Dynamo and starter motor both clearly seen here.
